LOVE OF THE DAY 14

And hello again, for my 14th LOTD. I can't believe it's now been 2 weeks since I started this and I've actually managed to blog about 14 "loves" - frankly, I thought I'd have given up by now! This has been such a great idea and it's just lovely to see a lot of people joining in with Louise's idea of it. I have loved reading her LOTDs, as well as everyone elses! Keep it up guys!! :-)

Today's LOTD is "Etsy". Like I said last week, I haven't really had much experience with Etsy, but I've seen bits and bobs and I must say that I am beginning to become a little bit obsessed with it now!

Today's love definitely has to go to these gorgeous elephant family bookends that I saw a while back and fell completely and utterly in love with. I absolutely adore elephants, they are definitely 10000000000% my favourite animal, and I also love bookends so these get a big thumbs up from me!

 The seller of these gorgeous bookends also have several other designs in their shop, many of which I adore!

It's a massive shame that they're made in America and would cost a fortune to get shipped over here (like many amazing things - grumble grumble!), otherwise these would already be in my possession!

LOVE OF THE DAY 13

Hey everyone, how are you? I'm a day behind with my LOTD's again but you know, sometimes life just gets in the way! What can you do?!

As is every Saturday, the LOTD today is videos, as decided by Louise at Sprinkle of Glitter. I do have quite a difficult time deciding on my love for videos because I watch a lot of them, and it makes it hard to decide - kinda like the blog post LOTDs!

My video today that I love is a proposal video from Tati. Being a typical girl, as well as being really quite nosy, I love watching proposal videos - they give me goosebumps and make me feel like I'm gonna burst with happiness!

LOVE OF THE DAY 12

So, I didn't have chance to post yesterday, again! I was driving around all over the place yesterday and got in at about 9pm, having been out since 6am! So it was safe to say I was exhausted and thus, didn't have time to post! But here I am today, posting my Friday's LOTD today (Saturday, if you're wondering!)

Friday's "love of the day", as decided by Louise at Sprinkle of Glitter, is to be either a fact or a quote; something which originated from her office days according to her blog!

Today, I have chosen a quote again, this time from somewhere a little bit classier than Winnie the Pooh! 

 “I’m selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle.But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.”

This quote comes from Marilyn Monroe, and it's pretty famous so I'd be surprised if you hadn't heard it, but I just had to use it anyway! I think a lot of women (and men, maybe?) can probably relate to it; I know I certainly can!

LOVE OF THE DAY 11

Good afternoon, how are you all? It's not raining today, in lovely Cheshire, which is a first! I'm not about to complain about it though, the blue sky is making me cheery.

Today's LOTD, from Louise at Sprinkle of Glitter is eBay. As I said at this time last week, I do love eBay and often like to just have a mooch about on it, having a good ol' browse and occasionally picking up a bargain!

Today's love is for these candles because I think that they are just absolutely precious! I must admit, I am a sucker for a candle here and there, especially ones that smell good enough to eat and look pretty, too! I haven't purchased any of these yet, but at £1.49 each, they're quite a little bargain and I will be treating myself to some soon!

LOVE OF THE DAY 10

Now, onto Today's actual love of the day (if you read my previous post, you'd understand!). Wednesday's are always going to be books, which I love because, like Louise at Sprinkle of Glitter (who started LOTD btw - check out her blog!), I am somewhat of a book nerd and I love reading when I get the chance!

Like last week's post, today's post will be about a book that I have already read (more than once!) and absolutely adore. It's a great read and I recommend it you to all!

"My Best Friend's Girl" by Dorothy Koomson tells the story of Kamryn, a lady who has been deceived by both her partner and her best friend (at the time) in the worst way possible... I'm sure you can gather how - and here's a clue - it produced a child, Tegan. Years later and when she's finally moving on with her life, she gets a letter from Adele, her former best friend, informing her that she's dying and that she'd like her to take care of Tegan following her death. Unable to let the little girl live with her abusive grandparents, Kamryn takes on the challenge and this tells the heart-felt tale of it...

LOVE OF THE DAY 9

Apologies that I missed yesterday's LOTD, I am instead doing it today (as well as today's LOTD... confusing!). Unfortunately I got lost somewhere in the Peak District while out walking by myself, and had to get my boyfriend to pick me up! Thus, I didn't have adequate internet access until now, but c'est la vie! On with the show.

As Tuesdays always are (don't forget, this is yesterday's LOTD!), the love is towards "blog posts", as chosen by Louise at Sprinkle of Glitter. I think I said this last week but I do really struggle with this one because I read a lot of blogs but none of it really "sinks in", if you know what I mean! So I did have to think very hard about this one, and made my brain hurt a little bit!

My blog post "love" for today has got to be "how to cook a Thai green curry" by SWalkerMakeup. I think Sarah is really sweet and I love reading her blog and watching her videos, and I must admit that since watching this, I have made Thai green curry at least 6 times, both with chicken and prawns and they have always been scrummy, so thanks for the inspiration, Sarah! :-)

LOVE OF THE DAY 8

Good morning to you all, how are you on this cloudy, grey, miserable day? Grumble grumble... It's now July and the weather certainly isn't getting any better! Grrr!

Today is Monday again, which means the LOTD, as always on Mondays, is clothes. :-) Although this is the second week, if you want to join in with the love of the day, please head over to Sprinkle of Glitter to check out Louise's blog about it all, and link me below if you do decide to join as I'd love to read your posts!

Last week, I chose a sweet elephant jumper as my clothes LOTD, which I am still lusting after because it's just TOO PRECIOUS! However, today I've chosen something that's a bit more accessible and probably a bit more "on trend" than that. So, today, my clothes LOTD is going to be these jeans from Dorothy Perkins. I am really loving coloured jeans at the moment, and I do have a rather dashing pink pair which I like to wear occasionally. However, I've yet to venture to something a bit more adventurous - but I must admit I'm tempted by this gorgeous green pair!

LOVE OF THE DAY 7

So, this is the last day of the first week of LOTD from Louise at Sprinkle of Glitter - hasn't that gone by super speedy?! I must say that I am very much enjoying it, and I can see there are many more bloggers out there that are enjoying it, too! :D

Today, Louise has chosen Etsy as her love of the day. I have been following her blog for a long time now, and I have seen how much Louise seems to love this website from her posts! Unfortunately, I haven't got such a love for it simply because I haven't given it the time! Here's to starting, because there's some really cool stuff on there. :-)

There have been a few things that I've seen from Etsy before, but they've usually been on Tumblr, which is where I found the beauty that is to be my own LOTD!

 

These stacked teacup bookshelves are just the absolute cutest thing in the entire world, and I think the seller is extremely talented and quite evidently, more creative than I am! If I had my own home, and if the seller delivered to the UK, I would so totally have me some of these by now! They make me squee with delight at their adorableness. :-)

Hello to you all, I hope you're having a good afternoon. :-)

Today in "LOTD" from Louise at Sprinkle of Glitter, is a video! I was a little apprehensive when Louise blogged that all loves on Saturdays was come from videos, because I watch so many, I both a) couldn't remember any in particular and b) wouldn't be able to choose between them if I did remember! After a while of umm-ing and ahh-ing though, I have finally come up with a MASSIVE love for one video. And funnily enough, it's not even beauty related!

This video has over 5 millions view on YouTube as of today, so chances are you might have seen this video! Even if you have, and especially if you haven't, you should still give it a watch right here, right now! I've watched it countless times and it still manages to give me goosebumps!

Never, ever give up!

Good afternoon to you all, I hope you're having a good day. :-) If, like me, you're in the UK, you're probably wondering what on earth is happening with the weather - it's so muggy, it hurts my head!! Let's hope a good storm hits soon to clear the air (don't hit me! :P).


Today's "love of the day" from Louise at Sprinkle of Glitter is a quote or fact. I knew immediately when I saw this what I wanted to use, and I think you might go "awww" at it too!

Louise's own quote that she used as her LOTD was extremely cute, as is this one... "You are stronger than you seem, braver than you believe, and smarter than you think you are". This is actually from Winnie the Pooh, and it makes me smile ear-to-ear! I even had it as my phone background once, and smiled whenever I saw it... Hope it makes you smile, too! :-)

I love browsing eBay and looking at all of the weird and wonderful things on there, as well as picking up an absolute bargain most of the time when I do make a purchase!

Today, I must dedicate my LOTD to an absolutely gorgeous piece of jewellery. It's been on my watch list for a while, but unfortunately I cannot afford it at the moment, otherwise I'd have snapped it up straight away! :( Until I can, I will lust after it through the screen and revel in it's beauty... mmm!

Good evening all, and welcome to LOTD #3 from Louise at Sprinkle of Glitter. Today's love of the day is books!

Now, I love love love books and upon having just graduated uni, I have found myself with more time on my hands to have a good old read! There are many different types of books that I enjoy reading but mostly, they do tend to be fictional and they do tend to be a bit soppy!


My LOTD for today, though, has got to be House Rules by Jodi Picoult.

I adore Jodi Picoult's books and I have read several, but this has got to be my absolute favourite. It tells the story of Jacob, a teenager with Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism, who gets himself into a difficult predicament! I shan't say any more because I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but it's a beautifully written book which I wholeheartedly recommend reading!

LOVE OF THE DAY 2

Hello, and welcome to my second "LOTD" from Sprinkle of Glitter which today, as all Tuesdays will be, is based on blog posts. I do thoroughly enjoy reading all sorts of different blogs, including beauty, baking, fashion and health, so as you can imagine, I had a lot to choose from!

I have thought hard about this one, and I'm going to have to say my blog post LOTD is an old post from Zoe at Zoella, which is the post "Why are you so skinny?". I know this is an old post of Zoe's, but I have to say that I have read it over and over again because it did pique my interest, as some would say! 

I can't say that I suffer from the same problems that Zoe has faced because I'm neither skinny nor fat, but I know exactly where she's coming from - prejudice based on size is absolutely everywhere nowadays, and it's just not on! People don't seem to realise that others are sensitive and do actually have feelings. So please, if you're reading this, click the link above to go to Zoe's blog post and next time, think before you make a so-called "harmless comment".

LOVE OF THE DAY 1

Hello, and welcome to the first post on my blog! This post will be LOTD day 1, which is a fantastic idea from Louise, over at Sprinkle of Glitter. This is where Louise, myself, and no doubt dozens of other bloggers write something they love every day, for 10 weeks. I think this is a great idea which will remind me of happy things every single day! :-)

Today, as all Mondays will be, is based on clothes! Now, clothes and shopping are things that I just LOVE LOVE LOVE, so this is great for me!


Now, there are plenty of beautiful dresses and skirts and blouses out there at the minute that I would love to have in my wardrobe, but my LOTD today is something a little bit different...

Ta-dah! I think that this jumper is absolutely adorable, and elephants are my absolute favourite animal, so this gets a HUGE thumbs up from me! It's available in many colours from this etsy seller, but this dark red one is my favourite. :-)

I am excited to see what Louise has chosen for tomorrow's LOTD! :-D
